Julia Huprich is a recent graduate from MSIT and got featured in KSU Stories.
"Huprich, who will earn her Master of Science in Information Technology during summer commencement ceremonies, has already used what she learned at Kennesaw State to launch a new learning management system for the Georgia Public Library System, the state administrative agency for all public libraries."
"Huprich created the Cobb GEMS program (Girls in Engineering, Math and Science) at the Cobb Library in 2014. She called on faculty experts from the Marietta Campus to talk with area female teens and teach on STEM topics. The program grew from 40 participants to 125 in 2016."

EVENT: AITP Geeks Giving Back Civic Engagement Event - June 30
KSU College of Computing and Software Engineering Students will be participating in an AITP Geeks Giving Back Civic Engagement Event at West Cobb Senior Center on June 30th.
Senior Citizens will arrive with any kind of electronic device they have and we will help them with whatever they need to solve a problem. These problems range from creating a group text for their grandchildren, uploading their data to the cloud, install and practice using an app, getting rid of malware, install iTunes and music, change their ringtone, etc. It's a troubleshooting Extravaganza! We need student volunteers to help with this effort. This event is open to other college students from Georgia State Colleges and Technical Colleges. All students must register to volunteer for the event through EventBrite so that we may know how many seniors we can serve.

The Internship involved the following experiences:
DoR Project. The tasks:
• Create risk values for application and hardware assets
• Develop Excel worksheets with formulas to calculate risk assessment
• Assign mitigation controls to threats
• Develop processes for testing and monitoring high value (critical) assets
• Assist with IT asset inventory updates and data input
High level Objectives:
• Create risk assessment program
• Create testing and monitoring program
Paid Internship $12/hr
Location : Coca Cola on North Ave.
Number of Hrs: 20-40 per week
Flexible hours and sensitive to school activities/schedules
Internship starts as early as June 1st !

Computer Network Operators work in the Remote Operations Center (ROC) is a part of the Tailored Access Operations (TAO) group which works on the hardest intelligence collection problems the Nation Security Agency faces.
