2016 Conference on CYBERSECURITY EDUCATION, RESEARCH & PRACTICE will be held at the Burruss Building #151, Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw GA October 29-30, 2016 and Hosted by the Center for Information Security Education, Coles College of Business, Kennesaw State University
PLEASE NOTE THE DEADLINE FOR UNDERGRADUATE PAPERS HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO AUGUST 31, 2016.
The Conference on Cybersecurity Education Research and Practice (CCERP) invites undergraduate students to submit papers to the conference, Authors of papers accepted at the conference will be invited to present posters at the event and will be awarded a one-time grant award of $500 to cover their costs of attendance and travel to and from the event.
For undergraduate students: Papers should have relevance to the practice of information security/cybersecurity. Contact Dr. Herb Mattord at hmattord@kennesaw.edu for a copy of the template to be used in the submission of your paper.
The NSF grant awarded to the conference will provide stipends for selected students to attend. As these stipends will more than cover the cost of traveling to and attending the conference it will result in a de facto scholarship.
As part of a National initiative, the conference will promote the dual themes of Cybersecurity workforce development and Cybersecurity hygiene (also known as security awareness and safety).
Undergraduate Student Poster Session on Cybersecurity Hygiene and Workforce Development. Undergraduate students are invited to submit short research papers (5 pages max) on Cybersecurity Hygiene or Workforce topics. Accepted students will be invited to create and conduct poster sessions during the conference, with the top 15 undergraduate students receiving $500 stipends to cover the cost of attending the conference.
Our grant will also support keynote speakers.
Important Dates
August 31 - Undergraduate Papers submission Deadline
September 15 - Reviews and acceptances to undergraduate authors/presenters
September 21 - Undergraduate papers that have been accepted will nee a revised abstract submitted for publication in the conference proceedings.
Submissions
Paper submissions should be at most 5 pages excluding the bibliography and well-marked appendices. Reviewers are not required to read the appendices, and so the paper should be intelligible without them.
To submit a paper, get the template for the paper and then visit the conference submission site athttp://digitalcommons.kennesaw.edu/ccerp.
Make sure to blind your submission. Go to the CCERP web site, register as an author and upload. Additional details will be provided by the system. Copyright agreements are conducted through an acceptance page of the submission site.
At least one author of each accepted paper must register for the conference bySeptember 21 for the abstract to be included in the proceedings.

Graduate and undergraduate students are encouraged to submit papers. Papers should be clearly noted as student submissions in submission information by noting intent to be included in the student track.
