Home Depot Information Session
Home Depot came to campus on Monday, Oct 5th for their Information Session as a followup to the Career Fair. The College of Computing and Software Engineering hosted the session in the Atrium and had 48 students in attendance! The representatives from Home Depot stated that they were very impressed with the students and received resumes from several students that are sure to get a phone interview in the near future. IT Internships take place at Home Depot during summer semester only. There are consulting and full time opportunities, but these are usually senior level positions requiring years of experience. Completing an internship not only provides the student with experience, but also a snapshot into the daily work life that a career at Home Depot could provide. Students commented that they were very happy to see industry partners coming to campus and providing insight to what they were actually looking for in a potential candidate.
