Global Payments FinAppsParty 2016!

Kickoff Event - March 3  |  FinAppsParty - March 11-12
 

WHAT: 
Global Payments will host a fun Kickoff Event on March 3 to let everyone know about the Global Payments FinAppsParty happening March 11-12 at Global Payments headquarters.

This event will be a time to meet other programmers, designers and developers. There will be food, beverages, fun and a few short announcements from Global Payments about the upcoming FinAppsParty coding event.

At the FinAppsParty on March 11-12, teams will compete to build mobile payments apps on devices for cash prizes. The event is an interactive financial app hackathon featuring the best innovative payments applications for devices that simplify the shopping experience for consumers and merchants while expediting the checkout process via a mobile device.

The Kickoff Event will be a time hear more details about FinAppsParty, meet potential team members, and receive free giveaways!

PARTICIPANTS: 
Calling all programmers, designers, and developers of mobile payments apps interested in learning more about the upcoming FinAppsParty coding event. The competition will be open to any application developer with fresh ideas to offer the financial services industry.  

FINAPPS PARTY CHALLENGES:  
Create an interactive financial or payment application on behalf of Global Payments related to mobile shopping. Particpants will work on one of two challenges: "Small Screen Commerce - Less is More!" or "Showroom Extravaganza!" PRIZES HAVE BEEN INCREASED! 
The stakes have been raised! Don't miss out on these great prizes! Cash prizes totaling $45,000 will be awarded to contest winners as follows:

• 1st Place: $20,000 cash
• 2nd Place: $15,000 cash
• 3rd Place: $10,000 cash

WINNERS:
The top three finalists will be announced at the conclusion of the contest and will be invited to attend the Georgia Technology Summit on March 17, 2016, at which the winner will be announced.  

HISTORY:  
FinAppsParty was launched by CaixaBank in Barcelona back in 2011 and has been held annually since that time. Winning projects have included apps for connecting users of NFC technology, business geolocation and payment systems via social networks.
